My Searching for the Spiritual

Someone says that it is a hard job to write a good self introduction, for you has to express your ideals as well as summarize your personal experience in a few words. Indeed, I do feel such difficulty as I am trying to say something about myself, a green hand, in the MUN team.

The first time I noticed words like “The Modern United Nations” on the website of our university, I didn’t know what it was, and I had no idea why such an activity could be a tribute to the institution of learning. The first year at university, I missed MUN, only to find that many friends had participated in the Assembly and stepped into a totally new field as well as got some awards. Just at that time, I recalled the words of Goethe: “Earn it anew if you would possess it.” And I determined to join in this team the next year. And I did.

After being a member of MUN, I was deeply impressed by its creativity and its solidarity. My new friends here are all active guys in their daily life, and are all thoughtful politicians in the Assembly. The passion embodied in this team is the dynamic source that encourages us to join hands and, by together working, to take the responsibility to appeal for world peace, and to carry forward its development and progress, although we are only university students. A new horizon, an international horizon to me is dawning. Just because so much passion and intelligence has been devoted to MUN, this team can become a landmark of our school and share a good fame at home and aboard.

My dear MUN friends: The wind is up. The current is swift. The opportunity for a long and fruitful journey awaits us. We have made our choice, and may it always in friendship and in happiness.
